I am a proud, lifelong nerd.

We are gamers, comics fans, sci-fi/fantasy fiends, con-goers, and cosplayers. We take the form of music nerds, science nerds, cooking nerds, and math nerds, too. We share a common sensibility and lexicon. We’re often fluent in each other’s languages soon after we meet, whether the language is Klingon, Elvish, Gaelic, Na’Vi, Betazed, or Dothraki.

I've gamed my whole life, starting with card and board games. In college I found D & D (my first-ever character had a resurrection chance of 96%... and died). Then arcade gaming, console gaming, PC gaming, and now mobile gaming and Augmented and Virtual Reality.

I've also been a comics reader since I was 5, and comics have instilled me with certain core beliefs, like "with great power must also come great responsibility" and “killing is bad.”

None of us is Spider-Man, though, and most of us could use a hand sometimes. We're just all trying to make it through. From one nerd to another - if I can help you, I will.

Favorite artists include Fiona Staples, Babs Tarr, Mike Grell, J.H. Williams III, Steve Ditko, Jack Kirby, Greg Capullo, Jim Lee, Sara Pichelli, Jim Steranko, Gil Kane, and Neal Adams.

Favorite authors include Harper Lee, Mercedes Lackey, Perry Moore, Robert Heinlein, Christopher Moore, Edgar Rice Burroughs, Lindy West, Anne Rice, Marion Zimmer Bradley, Nancy Collins, Stephen King, and many, many others.

Lover of Buffy / Angel, Supernatural, Star Trek, Star Wars, Serenity/Firefly, the CW Super Shows, Gotham, most things Dracula, Hobbitses, WestWorld, Altered Carbon, Umbrella Academy, Mystery Science Theater 3000, Stranger Things, Mindhunter, Sherlock, Pixar, Disney, and anything with lycanthropes (except Howling 3, and fyi werewolves are not marsupial, dammit).
